The U-16s will conclude the fall season on Sunday, November 24 at 2:50 pm against #5 league ranked North Scottsdale at Scottsdale Sports Complex.

“This is the works of over three months of time and dedication on the field and classroom sessions where the team came together to understand the way we play, the Barça style of play,” said head coach Enrique San Juan. “In the beginning, it was a challenge but with time, we eventually came to understand the style. We established goals at the beginning of the season and one of them was winning the league, this is all a process, and they deserve all the credit for their performance so far.”

The U-16s will wrap up 2019 at the annual Surf College Cup Showcase that will take place November 29 – December 1 in San Diego, California.

“We’re looking forward to the Surf Cup and letting the players enjoy their time with their family during the holiday break, said San Juan. “To me, this is very important because the players also need to be with their loved ones so they can come back focused and energize to grow more.”

When the U-16s return in the new year they will shift their focus to the spring season with their sights set on the Arizona State Cup.

Coach Enrique is excited for what is to come for him and his team in the new year.

“We installed a culture where we all support each other on and off the field and I believe that is why we’re successful and will continue to be successful, only if we continue through this path.”
